A tabloid claims the real reason Jennifer Garner finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck is because she's expecting a baby with new boyfriend John Miller. Gossip Cop can debunk the ridiculous premise. The actress isn't pregnant.
Garner and Affleck finalized their divorce last month three years after separating, and according to the National Enquirer, the actress finally signed the papers because she's expecting a child with Miller, the Cali Group CEO who she's only been dating for a few months. An alleged insider tells the magazine that Garner "has been wearing loose-fitting clothing lately" and it's because she's trying to hide a "baby bump."
The outlet's supposed "source," however, then shows less conviction in the pregnancy claim by saying, "If Jen is ready to start a family with John, then she wouldn't want to wait any longer. She knows she's not getting any younger!" The questionable tipster goes on to say it "makes sense" that Garner would decided to finalize her divorce "if she's starting a family with John." There are a whole lot of "ifs" being thrown around here. It's as if the magazine's "insider" doesn't actually know whether or not Garner is expecting.
Gossip Cop can confirm that Garner isn't pregnant and the reason she finalized her divorce from Affleck has nothing to do with her having another child. In fact, reputable publications such as People magazine have noted that Garner and Miller "are casually dating but it's not serious." E! News similarly reported that Garner and Miller's relationship is "not serious." It's also worth noting, Garner said in an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in 2013 that she's done having kids.
Regardless, Gossip Cop already called out the Enquirer's sister outlet, the Globe, when it wrongly reported last week that Garner was pregnant with Miller's baby. A mutual pal of ours and the actress told us the claim was completely untrue. Nothing has changed in the week since. It seems this narrative was created simply because the news of Garner's new boyfriend came shortly after the actress finalized her divorce.
Meanwhile, the Enquirer has already proven to have very little insight into the actress's love life. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid in March for falsely claiming that Garner was dating an unidentified lawyer. The actress was still single when that phony article was published. Garner may now have a real boyfriend, but she's certainly not pregnant with his baby.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
