Jennifer Garner is not giving Ben Affleck "another chance" when it comes to their romance, despite a made-up tabloid report. The ex-spouses aren't getting back together, despite being on very good terms. Gossip Cop can debunk the claim otherwise.
According to an inaccurate Star article, Garner has ended her romance with businessman John Miller, and has been telling friends she's considering reconciling with Affleck. "Jennifer misses that family life, and home has never been the same without Ben in it," a supposed source tells the outlet. "She's always believed in second chances - even third and fourth chances, if needed."
The suspicious insider further contends that Affleck and Garner have "talked about getting back together, but it's still in the discussion stage." The alleged tipster goes on to say the actress had a change of heart after seeing how committed her ex-husband is to his sobriety. "Jen tried to work things out with Ben before, but his addiction always got in the way," adds the seemingly imaginary source. "But it's different now: Ben's serious about staying sober, which is huge. It's helped Jen to be able to open her heart to him again."
The first major problem with the tabloid's phony story is that Garner and Miller haven't split. Just last week, Garner was spotted on a date night with her boyfriend in Santa Monica. Meanwhile, Affleck's spokesperson recently told Gossip Cop that both he and his ex-wife are "happy with the situation they are in currently." That situation involves them staying friendly and successfully co-parenting their three kids together. And while it's true that Affleck is committed to his sobriety, nothing has changed in terms of his current relationship with Garner.
It should be noted, Star has trouble keeping its phony storylines consistent. In July, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Garner was engaged to Miller and pregnant with his baby. This latest article makes no mention of that fictional scenario.
Last year, the outlet made up a ridiculous story alleging Garner was pregnant with Affleck's baby, as was his then-girlfriend Lindsay Shookus. Of course, neither woman was expecting the actor's child. The reason the magazine's stories don't pan out or align with each other is because they're all fabricated. The unreliable outlet has zero insight into the current status of Garner and Affleck's relationship. They're simply cordial exes who have remained united for the sake of their children. All talk of a romantic reconciliation is untrue.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
