Is Jennifer Aniston going on a cosmetic surgery spree for her 50th birthday next month? That's the claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story.
According to Heat, the actress is celebrating her milestone birthday by undergoing a series of procedures. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "She's been having a bit of work on her face in the form of fillers and Botox. She's very self-conscious about her lips, so she gets little injectables in them every so often to keep away the wrinkles. She's also had some Botox on her forehead and on the sides of her eyes."
The supposed source further contends that as the actress approaches 50, she's becoming "a little sad that the years are rolling by so quickly," adding, "Jen knows people may judge her, but she plans to embrace this next chapter. She's confident that she's got things under control. It's true that she's never gone overboard with surgery, and her friends just hope it stays that way."
The tabloid's story is completely made-up. In fact, Aniston revealed her skincare secrets in a 2015 InStyle interview, and made it clear she's "not a fan" of cosmetic work. "I just take care of my skin, eat well, exercise," said the actress, who further admitted she only undergoes noninvasive treatments such as laser therapy. "People lose perspective. I look around and see how bad plastic surgery and injections can really kick you in the [behind]," she added. Aniston went on to say that getting enough sleep and drinking lots of water are "your best bets for really great skin."
Meanwhile, this isn't the first time a tabloid has falsely claimed the actress was determined to undergo surgery. Last year, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style for alleging Aniston had spent $200,000 on cosmetic procedures following her split from Justin Theroux. Shortly before that, OK! made up a story about Aniston getting a "revenge makeover" that included more than $1 million in plastic surgery.
Here's what's really happening. Aniston is approaching a major birthday on February 11, so Heat has come up with a phony way of how she plans to celebrate. Gossip Cop busted the magazine in November for falsely claiming Aniston was inviting Brad Pitt to her 50th birthday party. The unreliable outlet clearly has no insight into the actress's birthday plans. A cosmetic surgery spree isn't part of the celebration, and the claim otherwise is baseless.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
