Is Jennifer Aniston being encouraged by Sandra Bullock to adopt a baby? That’s the claim in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we’ve exclusively learned the truth.
According to NW, Bullock gave Aniston some maternal advice while the two were vacationing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming over New Year’s. A supposed source tells the magazine, “Sandra has taken Jen under her wing and encouraged her to pursue her dream and become a mom.” Bullock, who has two adopted children, has “been giving Jen advice on adoption, which is what she did twice and considers the most fulfilling thing,” adds the alleged insider. “Sandra loves being a mom and wasn’t afraid to go it alone.”
Bullock adopted as a single parent before meeting boyfriend Bryan Randall years later, and according to the tipster, “Sandra’s told Jen that she’ll meet her perfect match some day, but that it shouldn’t stop her from adopting as a single mom.” As for her adoption plans, the tabloid maintains that Aniston is considering orphanages in Mexico. “Sandra is encouraging Jen to do it sooner rather than later, and Jen agrees,” adds the suspicious source, who goes on to say that Aniston also hasn’t ruled out using a surrogate instead.
The magazine’s story is coming from an anonymous and seemingly nonexistent “insider,” but Gossip Cop reached out to Aniston’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it’s “bogus.” Despite what the publication’s untraceable “source” claims, a rep qualified to speak on the actress’s behalf confirms Bullock isn’t persuading Aniston to adopt a baby.
It’s worth noting, many aspects of the tabloid’s story have been recycled from previous articles. Gossip Cop busted RadarOnline more than two years ago for wrongly reporting that Aniston was adopting from a Mexican orphanage. That clearly never happened. Shortly before that, we called out OK! for publishing a phony story about Aniston adopting two girls from the Midwest. In 2015, Gossip Cop debunked an In Touch report claiming Aniston had adopted a 6-month-old baby girl. These are just a few examples of the countless times the tabloids have said the actress was adopting.
It seems Bullock is now being thrown into the narrative because she’s friends with Aniston and has two adopted children. The idea that the actress is guiding Aniston through the adoption process simply isn’t true. NW‘s take on the subject has more in common with fan fiction than journalism.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
