Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt did NOT have a "reunion," despite a purposefully deceptive tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the report.
The new cover of In Touch announces, "Brad & Jen Secret Reunion!" It further teases "what Angelina walked in on," and declares, "Jen gets the ultimate revenge on Angelina." It was all designed to make readers think Pitt and Aniston got together in person, and Jolie caught them. But neither happened.
The cover is actually a bait-and-switch. The story inside the magazine is about Pitt and Aniston reuniting over text message, and Jolie supposedly once walking in on a phone call between them. That's fairly different from what the front of the edition implies. Just as significant, though, the article itself is manufactured, too.
"12 Years After Their Divorce... Jen & Brad Secretly Reunite," reads the headline, with the story similarly saying they've "secretly reunited." Again, this is all about reuniting over the PHONE. It's alleged Jolie "caught" Pitt chatting with Aniston last July, in the wake of her mother's death. Now, writes the outlet, "This time around, Brad and Jen are not only talking on the phone but also texting each other."
A so-called "insider" is quoted as saying, "Jen feels really bad for everything that Angie is putting him through. Angie broke up her marriage, and now Brad is coming back to her after all these years for friendship and support. It's definitely vindication for her because it just confirms that Angie stole her husband from her."
But that's not all. The story goes on to assert that during one of Aniston and Pitt's talks, she confirmed she still owns the Hollywood Hills home she lived in when they first started dating. "She will keep the house forever because of all the memories it holds," says the outlet's supposed source, who contends that the residence is a sore spot for Justin Theroux, who wants her to sell it and "let go of the past" with Pitt.
Naturally, it's also alleged that Aniston's marriage to Theroux is on the rocks. "Could Brad and Jen get back together after all these years? Anything is possible," the tabloid's tipster claims. But this is a false narrative In Touch has been pushing for years, long before Pitt and Jolie even split.
Gossip Cop busted the magazine all the way back in 2011 for a false cover story about Aniston and Pitt having a "reunion." And last summer, we debunked the publication's cover claiming Jolie "caught" Pitt with Aniston, which was really a made-up article about Jolie catching Pitt on the phone. The outlet is now repeating that untrue allegation for yet another misleading cover story.
While Gossip Cop did confirm recently that Aniston and Pitt are now back in contact, we've learned that In Touch has once again fudged the details, as it has done so many times before. In fact, the actress' rep exclusively tells us, "None of the In Touch story is true. It's all rubbish."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
