A tabloid claims Jennifer Aniston hates the poster for her new Apple series The Morning Show because she thinks Reese Witherspoon looks prettier on it. The story is completely ridiculous. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
According to In Touch, Aniston has a major issue with the photo being used to promote her new series and finds it to be uncomplimentary. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Friends say she's not happy that Reese looks natural and pretty while her face appears to be rounder, definitely fuller and even rubbery. She absolutely hates it."
The outlet's article is based on the word of an anonymous "insider," but Aniston's own spokesperson is going on the record to refute it. The actress's rep, who's qualified to speak on her behalf, confirms she's not the least bit upset about the poster for her new show. It's also worth noting, Aniston is an executive producer on The Morning Show, so it's very likely she was involved in the advertising process. It's hard to imagine that Apple released a poster without running it by the star and producer of the series.
Meanwhile, Aniston and Witherspoon are very close friends, so the idea that Aniston would be jealous of how her co-star looks on their poster is baseless. The tabloid's article is just flat-out absurd, not to mention insulting. Of course, that's not surprising coming from In Touch. This is the same publication that Gossip Cop busted in January for falsely claiming Aniston was having a baby girl with Brad Pitt. The ex-spouses aren't back together, and most certainly aren't expecting a child. That phony article came a few months after the magazine insisted Aniston and Pitt had secretly gotten married again. That didn't happen either.
Additionally, In Touch has also proven to be clueless when it comes to Aniston's career. In December 2018, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for wrongly reporting Aniston had turned down Netflix's pitch for a Friends reboot. There was never any kind of Friends reboot in development at the streaming service. The actress didn't snub a nonexistent project.
With all of the hype surrounding The Morning Show, it's understandable - yet also unfortunate - that the tabloids are coming up with fiction about the series and its A-list stars. At the very least, this latest article dials back the idea that Aniston and Witherspoon are feuding, a false narrative that we've repeatedly debunked. Still, this new report focusing on the show's advertising campaign is nonsense. Take a look below at the poster for The Morning Show to see what all this fuss is about.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
