Jennifer Aniston is not pregnant or adopting, contrary to multiple outlets wrongly announcing there's "baby news" for the actress and Justin Theroux. The claims originate from an Australian tabloid cover story, and there's absolutely no merit to them. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.
The new cover of New Idea features a photo of Aniston with the line, "I'm A Mum At Last!" Of course, the American Aniston would never use the word "mum." But according to the gossip magazine, she and Theroux are "finally expecting a baby of their own." It's specifically claimed, "The couple made the surprise announcement to family and friends last week, revealing their 'one last attempt' to fall pregnant had given them the miracle news they had been waiting for."
A so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "Jen and Justin decided to make it their mission for the last few months of 2017 - to try and fall pregnant by Christmas. They can't believe that their baby dream has finally come true - it's a miracle." Conveniently, though, the publication's supposed snitch adds, "They're still in the very early stages so [they] need to wait a bit longer before going public." Right. Fans are supposed to believe Aniston is too early into her alleged pregnancy to share the news with the world, but somehow, a tabloid from Down Under learned she's going to be a "mum at last."
Oh, and that's not all. New Idea also contends "Jen's pregnancy may turn to double joy," because "the couple had been investigating adopting a baby from Puerto Rico" following Hurricane Maria. The alleged tipster asserts, "Adopting from Puerto Rico was their plan B in case their last effort to fall pregnant didn't work out. But [despite the pregnancy] they haven't closed the door on adopting from the region, and have gone through all the paperwork and legalities."
Now The Inquisitr is regurgitating the allegations. "Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux Baby News: Actress Is Reportedly Pregnant & May Adopt Too," reads the site's headline. The online outlet filed its story under "Rumors," yet still presented the contentions as fact, writing, "The long wait is finally over because Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are reportedly having a baby. According to a new report, the couple recently shared the good news with their family and friends. Their final attempt to get pregnant finally paid off."
But it's important to remember how unreliable New Idea is as a source of real news. This is the same tabloid that falsely claimed earlier this year that Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock were dating. It's also the same discredited magazine that erroneously alleged in September that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were "already married." Clearly, its pieces are fantasy-based and are not substantiated by reality.
That's why it comes as no surprise to Gossip Cop that we're told by our own Aniston contact, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, that the pregnancy and adoption tale is "fiction." A rep also exclusively tells Gossip Cop, "It's all a fabrication." And don't be fooled by multiple outlets spreading the same falsehoods. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
