Jennifer Aniston did not “break down” over Brad Pitt, nor did he make a “love confession” to his ex-wife. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this tabloid cover story.
The new cover of In Touch dramatically announces, “Jen Breaks Down Over Brad: Overwhelmed By His Love Confession.” The same “breaks down” headline is featured inside the issue, where the tabloid contends, “Jennifer Aniston dissolves into tears as Brad Pitt pours his heart out to her.” According to the article, the actor unexpectedly contacted the “Friends” star last week.
“Brad is in the middle of the fight of his life, and Jen is dealing with a marriage in which she’s increasingly being left behind… Memories began rolling around in his mind, and that’s when he decided to reach out. What happened next stunned them both, and ended with Jen in tears,” claims the gossip magazine. A so-called “source” is then quoted as saying, “He’s been determined to apologize for everything he put her through, and that’s exactly what we did.”
The outlet’s supposed snitch continues, “It was the most intimate conversation Brad and Jen have ever had. Jen was overcome with emotion. All the hurt feelings and resentment she’d suppressed for years came flooding to the surface, and she broke down in tears.” The publication goes on to assert Pitt began by discussing his split from Angelina Jolie and his sobriety, with its “source” claiming, “But then Brad launched into a long list of things he was sorry for when it came to Jen. He apologized to Jen for being an absentee husband, for being stoned and bored much of the time. He also made amends for leaving her for Angelina.”
For Aniston, alleges the tabloid’s purported tipster, “A two-ton weight of sadness and regret had been lifted off her shoulders. It was the vindication she had been looking for all these years.” Gossip Cop suspects fans who have been rooting for the former spouses to get back together would also find relief and happiness in these claims. But we must be the bearer of bad, but accurate news: None of this is true. This supposed “intimate conversation” never happened.
In fact, a rep for Aniston exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the cover story is a “complete fabrication.” Of course, fabrications are somewhat commonplace for the magazine. Back in April, for instance, In Touch lied about Pitt and Aniston starring in a movie together. And in June, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid when it ran a cover story suspiciously similar to this one, in which the outlet claimed Pitt offered Aniston an apology and they made amends.
Notably, the publication is pretending with this new copycat edition that it never wrote that prior tale. But both then and now, the assertions are untrue. Pitt never made any kind of “love confession,” and there was no secret talk that led Aniston to “break down.” This is basically fan-fiction and nothing more.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
