Jennifer Aniston never dated Leonardo DiCaprio or Johnny Depp. A tabloid report from a year ago claiming she dumped DiCaprio for Depp was not only wrong, it was just absurd. Gossip Cop busted the story cold at the time and a year later, nothing has changed from our reporting.
Last year, Woman's Day got caught up in so many lies, the outlet couldn't keep its story straight. First, the publication asserted Aniston and DiCaprio were dating after the actress attended the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star's birthday party. After that piece was debunked by Gossip Cop, DiCaprio was spotted several times with his actual girlfriend, Camila Morrone. Rather than buck up and admit it was wrong, the tabloid instead tried to save face by inventing another fake romance, claiming Aniston had moved on from DiCaprio to Depp.
The magazine allegedly spoke with an "insider" who told the outlet, "Jen feels Johnny's had a terrible run of bad luck and, like her, he chose his long-term partners extremely badly. Jen is actively looking for a guy. She wants a boyfriend who doesn't mind being trailed by her bodyguard all the time and who isn't intimidated by her fame." Depp, according to the ridiculous article, was that potential boyfriend. Once again, Gossip Cop stepped in to correct the story. This was just yet another insane claim made by a tabloid about who Aniston was supposedly dating.
As we pointed out, Aniston had recently told Entertainment Tonight that she was happy being single. Despite multiple other reports before and since asserting she was back together with her ex-husband, and DiCaprio's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star, Brad Pitt, she wasn't dating anyone - including Depp. The Morning Show star's rep confirmed with Gossip Cop last year that the piece wasn't true.
In the intervening 365 days, Woman's Day seems to have forgotten its fake narrative. Last month, the magazine published a report claiming Depp and Angelina Jolie were being set up by Michelle Pfeiffer. That article wasn't true either, just like it wasn't true when the same tabloid said Jolie offered to help Depp get healthy. Gossip Cop debunked both of those false reports as well.
As for Aniston, Woman's Day has repeatedly falsely reported that she's back with Pitt, including as recently as two weeks ago when the tabloid asserted Pitt surprised Aniston backstage with flowers at the People's Choice Awards. The tabloid also claimed Aniston was secretly dating Murder Mystery co-star Dany Boon and connected Aniston with her other co-star, David Walliams. Last December, the outlet came up with a story about Aniston dating her divorce lawyer. Woman's Day has attached the actress to so many men in an effort so see what sticks, but none of it has.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
