One of this week's tabloids claims Jennifer Aniston and Leonardo DiCaprio have been secretly dating for three months. The article further contends that Brad Pitt is the one who introduced his ex-wife to his Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star. Nothing about the story is true. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
The actress attended DiCaprio's 44th birthday party in Los Angeles earlier this month, prompting an alleged "insider" to tell NW, "Leo must have been very convincing to get her to come along - no doubt he made her feel very special. He has this flirty knack of making women feel like they're the only girl in the world when he's pursuing someone."
The supposed source goes on to say that the reason Aniston "finally went public at Leo's party" is because DiCaprio and Pitt "have basically wrapped their film now, so it doesn't have to be awkward." The questionable tipster adds, "Brad was a little surprised she went to his party... [but he] began to connect the dots [and realized] that they've been hanging out since he introduced them." The questionable tipster adds, "But he can't be mad. He's never wanted anything but the best for Jen. Brad thinks that they have all the makings of a great match."
Gossip Cop, however, already debunked wrong rumors of a romance between Aniston and DiCaprio when they emerged earlier this month. A rep for the actress told us on the record that the two aren't dating. The premise was created simply because the actress went to the movies star's birthday party, which was attended by around 500 other guests, including dozens of celebrities.
The idea that Pitt introduced them isn't true either. Aniston's close friend Portia de Rossi recently confirmed that the ex-spouses "haven't seen each other" in quite some time. It's also worth noting, NW has trouble keeping track of its phony narratives. Just last week, the outlet falsely claimed that Aniston flirted with Alex Rodriguez at DiCaprio's party. That article made no mention of the actress being in a relationship with the actor.
It must also be mentioned, DiCaprio is dating model Camila Morrone. The couple was spotted on a pizza date in Los Angeles just a few days ago. As for Aniston, People magazine recently reported that the actress "isn't concerned about dating" and "is happy to focus on work." NW's latest article has more in common with creative writing and fan fiction than it does with anything resembling journalism.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
