Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux never got into any violent fights during their marriage, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the story. There’s no truth to it.

The National Enquirer alleges there were several 911 calls involving allegations of domestic violence made to Aniston’s Los Angeles home from 2017 to 2018. According to the outlet, an April 2018 incident involved “a female suspect wearing no clothing” in the garage of Aniston’s house “and threatening a male victim with a possible knife.” The unidentified person who supposedly placed the 911 call is said to have told police there was “a history of domestic violence” at the residence.

An alleged insider tells the magazine that Aniston and Theroux also got into a “face-to-face showdown” in December 2017, but “Justin removed himself from the situation before it got physical,” and checked into a hotel. The story gets stranger from there. The supposed tipster goes on to say that in March 2017, police received a call about drugs being sold from the garage of Aniston’s home.

There’s absolutely zero evidence to suggest that any of these incidents occurred. In fact, the Enquirer even acknowledges that “prank calls on celebrity homes happen regularly” and the 911 calls made to Aniston’s house may have been a result of the cops being “scammed.” However, the tabloid buries this tidbit at the very end of its article. The majority of the report is framed as if Aniston and Theroux had gotten into a series of violent altercations, which isn’t remotely true.

A spokesperson for Aniston confirms that none of the incidents described in the magazine ever occurred. It’s unclear if there were any 911 calls regarding the above situations, but even if any such calls were made, they were baseless. Neither Aniston or Theroux ever called the police on each other during their marriage.

In reality, the exes are on good terms and there were no major disputes that led to their split. The two simply grew apart. In July, Aniston and Theroux reunited to bury their late dog Dolly. The actor even shared an Instagram photo of him and Aniston holding hands as they laid their dog to rest. It’s also worth noting, when Theroux spoke to the New York Times last year about his split from Aniston, the actor noted, “It was kind of the most gentle separation.” Simply put, there were no knife fights in their garage.

The Enquirer is the same tabloid that falsely claimed Aniston and Theroux got into a screaming match at their dog’s funeral. As noted above, the actor’s Instagram post would indicate otherwise. When the magazine isn’t busy creating an imaginary war between the exes, it sometimes claims they’re getting back together, which isn’t accurate either. Last year, for example, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for making up a story about Aniston and Theroux having “secret sleepovers” in an effort to rekindle their romance. The magazine has zero insight into the relationship between the exes, so it creates contradictory narratives instead.
