Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's marriage is NOT "over," despite a completely false tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this report. We're told it's not true.
According to a new OK! article with the headline, "Jen and Justin: It's Over!", the couple has been leading separate lives and are likely headed for a split. A so-called "source" tells the magazine that Aniston "is starting to realize that her close circle of girlfriends, like Courteney Cox, fulfills her emotional needs better than Justin does." The outlet's dubious insider adds, "And she knows all too well from her experience with Brad [Pitt] that once you stop prioritizing your partner, things disintegrate quickly."
The magazine's questionable source further purports, "Justin loves Jen, but it seems he was never sure if he was in love with her. After they got engaged, it felt like they had something to prove, so they forged ahead with marriage even though they knew deep down it probably wasn't the right move." The supposed insider also says that the couple's different career choices are driving them apart, as he seeks out dark dramas while she prefers doing lighter comedies.
The outlet's seemingly phony source goes on to claim that Aniston likes spending time in Los Angeles, but he's more partial to New York, adding, "They're ultimately not suited for each other, and the more time they spend apart, the clearer it becomes... Living separate lives will simply make it easier if and when they decide to go their separate ways."
Gossip Cop, however, checked in with reps for both spouses, and we're exclusively assured their marriage isn't in trouble, nor are they living separate lives. We're told the tabloid's report is simply false, which isn't surprising, considering we've repeatedly busted OK! for publishing lies about the couple.
Gossip Cop recently corrected the magazine's bogus cover story about Aniston adopting two girls. And shortly before that, we busted the publication for falsely alleging Aniston was pregnant with twins. Much like those tall tales, the tabloid's latest cover story is entirely fabricated. Update: Nearly a full year after this speculative cover story, Aniston and Theroux announced they're separating.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
