Justin Theroux is not "heartbroken" over Jennifer Aniston's supposedly "scathing" InStyle interview, despite a bogus report. Gossip Cop can correct the false premise. The actress's magazine profile hasn't upset her estranged husband.
Earlier this month, Aniston gave an interview to InStyle for the September cover of the publication. In the piece, the actress spoke about some of the public's "misconceptions" about her, including the belief that she's "sad and heartbroken." Aniston said, "First, with all due respect, I'm not heartbroken." RadarOnline is now making the bizarre and convoluted claim that Theroux is "heartbroken" because his estranged wife said she's "not heartbroken."
"Justin had no heads-up and no idea that Jennifer was doing the interview," an alleged insider tells the blog. "He was heartbroken by her decision. The two of them do not talk anymore and he thought they had both agreed to not talk about each other or their failed marriage in the press." The supposed source adds, "He is surprised that she chose to kiss-and-tell. But Jen needs to be careful what she says, as Justin has his side of the story too."
The website's premise is very flawed. Aniston didn't go into any real detail about Theroux or her marriage in her InStyle interview. She never mentioned her estranged husband's name and said nothing specific about their relationship. Aniston simply stated that she's doing just fine in the wake of her separation, but she didn't bad-mouth Theroux in any way. There was certainly nothing remotely "scathing" about the interview, despite the outlet describing it in such a way.
Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Theroux, who tells us on the condition of anonymity that the blog's article is "fabricated." The actor has no issues with his estranged wife's interview. E! News, a much more credible celebrity news outlet than RadarOnline, recently published an article about Theroux's post-split life, noting that the actor is "living life exactly how he wants to be in New York" and is "very happy with where he is."
The entertainment website added, "He doesn't have anyone else to be responsible for or to report back to and he's taking advantage of that. Justin is hanging out and having the time of his life." This article was published more than a week after Aniston's interview came out, and he certainly doesn't sound too heartbroken. Regardless, the actress didn't say anything remotely disparaging about Theroux in her interview, nor did she disclose any details about their split. The blog's article is just baseless.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
