Jennifer Aniston and Jon Hamm are not dating, despite a false report in one of this week's tabloids. The coupling of the two stars is very random and seems to have been created because both are currently single. Gossip Cop has learned they're simply not an item.
According to NW, a "romance is blossoming" between Aniston and Hamm, who've supposedly been going on secret dates. "Everyone is wondering how on earth this didn't happen sooner," an unknown source tells the magazine. "Over the years, she's had her people enquire if he was available on several occasions in between her own romances."
The supposed insider goes on to say that Aniston and Hamm finally got together when their mutual pal Paul Rudd set them up. "Paul told Jon it's about time he went for it with Jen," says the questionable tipster. "Paul's known all about Jen's long-time crush and after all these years, they're both single - so in his eyes, the timing was ideal."
The seemingly phony source further contends that Aniston and Hamm have been enjoying "romantic rendezvous" at their Los Angeles homes as they want to fly under the radar. "Their idea of a hot date is sharing a laugh over a bottle of wine and some takeaway," adds the anonymous insider. "Jen always thought Jon was a good-looking guy, but she never realized how funny and charming he was too. Now she's on the receiving end and she can't get enough."
The tabloid's article is based on the word of an untraceable "source," but Gossip Cop reached out to Aniston's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it's nonsense. The actress's rep, who's qualified to speak on her behalf, confirms she's not dating Hamm. The two stars appear to be friendly, as Hamm attended the actress's 50th birthday party back in February. However, there isn't any sort of romance between the two.
Additionally, Aniston herself said on The Howard Stern Show earlier this month that she's single and has been too "busy" to date. The actress explained that she's currently promoting her Apple series The Morning Show and also "prepping for next season." Aniston also has several other projects in development in addition to her new TV series. The Friends star is simply more focused on her career than her love life for the time being.
Meanwhile, NW has already proven to have zero insight into the actress's personal life. Back in August, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Aniston was secretly dating a mysterious multi-billionaire. Two months before that, the outlet insisted Aniston was fighting Lady Gaga over Bradley Cooper. This latest article involving Hamm doesn't bother to mention either of those imaginary scenarios. That's because the magazine seems to be coming up with its Aniston stories on a whim.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
