A blog claims Jennifer Aniston is upset about Jimmy Kimmel's supposed friendship with Kim Kardashian and her family. The story is completely false. Gossip Cop can correct it.
According to RadarOnline, the actress isn't happy about the talk show host and his wife Molly McNearney, with whom she's close friends, supposedly "warming up" to the Kardashian clan. An alleged insider tells the outlet that Aniston doesn't believe the reality TV family is "classy enough for her circle of friends, even by association."
The supposed source further contends Aniston is "not impressed" by the Kardashians in any way and doesn't care about their large social media following. "She never liked their show, what she saw of it," adds the questionable tipster, who goes on to say the actress believes Kimmel is "skimming from the bottom of the barrel" when it comes to selecting his friends.
The first major issue with the blog's phony story is that Kimmel isn't friends with the Kardashian family. The outlet made up its phony report simply because the reality TV family appeared as guests on his talk show earlier this month. Gossip Cop checked in with a spokesperson for the talk show host, who tells us he hasn't been socializing with the Kardashians. The website's story is based on claims from an anonymous "source," but Kimmel's rep tells us on the record that it's bogus.
Gossip Cop has also reached out to Aniston's rep for a comment, but considering that Kimmel hasn't been hanging out with the Kardashians, it's safe to say the actress isn't upset about a nonexistent friendship. RadarOnline is the same outlet we busted for wrongly reporting that Kimmel was arranging a joint interview with Aniston and Brad Pitt on his late night show. That clearly never happened. Many of the blog's articles have more in common with creative writing than journalism.
Last year, Gossip Cop called out the site's sister outlet, In Touch, for falsely claiming Aniston was "furious" about Justin Theroux appearing on Kimmel's talk show. The actress simply doesn't dictate who the TV host is allowed to associate with, despite this becoming a recurring theme.
Meanwhile, Gossip Cop recently debunked a phony story claiming Kimmel's wife was jealous of his friendship with Aniston. In reality, the actress is also very close with the talk show host's wife. The gossip media obviously has a habit of making up stories surrounding Aniston and Kimmel's relationship. This time around, the Kardashians are being thrown into the mix. This latest narrative is more nonsense.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
