Jennifer Aniston is not getting "revenge" on Emma Stone because she's been spending time with Justin Theroux, despite a ridiculous report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the claim. A rep for the actress tells us it's absurd.
"Jen's Rage: Aniston In 'Revenge Mode' Against Emma After She's Caught With Justin," reads a new RadarOnline headline. The accompanying article says the actress has been rallying her Hollywood friends to turn on Stone "over her romance" with Theroux. It should be noted, however, that the "Maniac" co-stars aren't dating. People, a much more reliable outlet than the blog, recently described Stone and Theroux as a "friendly pair." And their mutual friend, "Queer Eye" star Jonathan Van Ness, recently told E! News, "They're friends... Men and women can be friends and it can just be friendly."
Still, the website says Aniston became particularly furious after her estranged husband was spotted with Stone in France over Memorial Day weekend. However, the two were in the country for a Louis Vuitton fashion show, as they're both ambassadors of the brand. They were also accompanied by a group of other friends involved in the event, so it's not as if they went on a solo trip together. However, the blog's questionable source says Aniston is "dragging Emma every chance she gets and warning pals like Jason Bateman and Jimmy Kimmel to avoid her."
The outlet's alleged insider adds, "I don't think [Stone] realizes who she messed with and how far Jen's reach is." The seemingly nonexistent tipster further contends that Aniston "is in revenge mode" and Stone "needs to recognize that she's messing with somebody with a lot of loyal Hollywood friends."
This premise is coming from an anonymous and untraceable "insider," but Aniston's spokesperson tells Gossip Cop on the record it's "absolute nonsense." The actress hasn't been convincing her celebrity friends to snub Stone, nor is she seeking any sort of "revenge" against the actress for being friendly with her estranged husband. Theroux has a lot of famous female friends, including Aubrey Plaza, Amy Sedaris and Sienna Miller, all of whom he's been spotted with since his split. Like Stone, their all platonic pals, but RadarOnline is arbitrarily singling out the La La Land star.
Just last week, Gossip Cop busted the blog's sister publication, Star, for making up a similar story about Aniston confronting Stone over Theroux. Reps for both actresses told us the supposed showdown never happened. A source close to Stone also told us on background that she and Theroux "are just friends and colleagues." This ongoing narrative involving jealousy and revenge simply isn't true.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
