Jennifer Aniston slammed “B.S.” tabloids for publishing “horrible articles” about her and other celebrities on Wednesday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and further implored people to stop buying such magazines. Watch the video below.

Back in July, the actress wrote an essay for The Huffington Post calling out the many publications that falsely claimed she was pregnant. “I kind of hit a wall. I was pretty raw at the time,” Aniston said on the daytime talk show, further noting her mother had just passed away at the time. “I’ve had to sort of live with for the last 10-15 years, a picture of me with a bump and a circle around my stomach with an arrow pointing to it in this disgustingly objectifying kind of way, and I was just fed up with it,” she explained of her decision to publicly speak out against the tabloids.

“I think these tabloids, all of us, need to take responsibility on what we ingest into our brains,” continued the actress. “We, as women, do a lot of incredible things in this world other than just procreate.” Aniston added, “They love the narrative, they love the story, they love the she’s jealous of this person, and she’s depressed, and oh my gosh, she’s never going to have a child. Whatever the horrible little headline is, we’ve just got to break out of that.”

Aniston went on to note that despite many of these types of magazines objectifying women, “Many of the authors of these horrible articles that are written in these B.S. tabloids [are women].” She further asserted, “So, we have to stop listening to them and we have to stop buying them because we have to support each other, especially at this time, to love each other, to support, and to be proud of women of whatever your choice is in life. It’s up to us what makes us happy and fulfilled.” Watch the video below.
