Jennifer Aniston’s friends already want to set her up, but not with anyone famous, contends a new tabloid report. But Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this made-up dating claim. We’re told the story is completely “bogus.”

According to Life & Style, Aniston’s friends are “itching to set her up with a new man.” A so-called “source” tells the tabloid that the actress’s matchmakers, including Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Schumer, Jimmy Kimmel and Courteney Cox, have “already started talking about eligible bachelors.” “Most of the guys they’re thinking of are businessmen, CEOs of companies. There’s a chef, too, and some Silicon Valley executives,” adds the vague and phony sounding “source.”

After rattling off the names of husbands Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, and ex-boyfriends Vince Vaughn and John Mayer, the magazine maintains the former “Friends” star has “had her fill of celebrities, and her pals think she could find lasting happiness with someone who’s not famous.” “Her friends believe she should have someone who can come home to her at night,” asserts the alleged “insider.” Having been supposedly jealous of Theroux’s flirtatious behavior, Aniston’s buddies want to fix her up with a “self-assured non-celeb.”

Well, let Gossip Cop assure you none of Aniston’s pals shared any of this with the tabloid. Whether the magazine manufactured this tall tale on its own or received its information from an unreliable “source,” the claims are wrong. There have been no talks amongst her friends about setting Aniston up with “businessmen,” a “chef,” “Silicon Valley executives” or anyone else “not famous.” A mutual connection of ours and Aniston tells us it’s untrue, and a rep for the actress also says it’s “bogus.”

While it’s true that Aniston has been relying on her friends since her split from Theroux, she’s in good spirits and not looking to date anyone now, famous or not. Gossip Cop is not entirely surprised by the falsity of Life & Style’s article since the tabloid has published a number of inaccurate articles about the actress. Notably, even though one of the main reasons the couple split was because he preferred being on the East Coast while she enjoyed California, the magazine wrongly reported in July 2017 that Aniston was thinking of moving to New York.

In that off-base story, the publication contended Aniston wanted to “move out of her comfort zone.” Part of that, asserted the outlet, was wanting to “try a stint on Broadway” and “be taken seriously as an actress.” What can’t be taken “seriously,” however, is the tabloid’s claim about having an Aniston “insider” who’s sharing untrue information about her future dating plans.
