Jennifer Aniston Dating Again

(Us Weekly)

Jennifer Aniston is not really “dating again,” despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop explain why this report doesn’t ring true. While it’s claimed she’s juggling two men, the actress is actually focused on herself and her work.

But according to Us Weekly, Aniston is “back on the dating scene,” and “being wooed by two men.” It’s alleged the first boyfriend is a “tech titan introduced to Aniston by a close friend,” with a so-called “source” claiming, “He recently split from his wife and is trying to win over Jen.” The second “love interest” is described as an “industry creative,” with a purported “confidant” asserting they “met when they started working on a project together several months ago.”

Tellingly, though, neither suitor is named, and it’s not said which “friend” introduced the “tech titan” to Aniston and when, or how he’s been “trying to win [her] over.” It’s also not said on what project Aniston and the “industry creative” are supposedly working together. The lack of key details should be a heads-up that it’s all a bit questionable. In fact, even with these vague contentions, an untraceable “Aniston insider” is quoted as saying “Jen’s group” is so “excited she’s dating again” that “they can hardly keep it a secret.” Still, no significant specifics are offered.

And, of course, Aniston hasn’t been seen publicly on any dates, even though she’s regularly photographed when she goes out, such as when Aniston had a girls night out with Courteney Cox and Ellen DeGeneres recently. Another reason to be suspicious of this article is that when the magazine touches on Aniston’s professional life, it writes that “a series for Apple is also reportedly in the works.” This show was officially announced last fall, with Apple giving the series a two-season order before production even begins. Between a “source,” a “confidant,” and an “insider,” it makes zero sense that the outlet doesn’t know this. If the publication had real access to Aniston’s world, it wouldn’t have used “reportedly.”

Also, on the subject of Aniston’s career, when Gossip Cop spoke with her spokesperson on Monday, he confirmed that she is working on two movies this summer, with the Apple series slated to start shooting this fall. That doesn’t leave much time for the “Friends” star to be dating two guys. Indeed, she’s currently in Montreal working on Netflix’s Murder Mystery. Plus, less than two weeks ago, People reported that Aniston is “very happy being single,” and “focused on her own happiness.”

Lastly, it should be noted that Us Weekly has previously bumbled some of its stories on the actress. In February, the magazine peddled fake news about Justin Theroux finding old Post-Its Aniston was supposedly saving from Brad Pitt. At the time, her rep confirmed the tale was a “fabrication.” And just as there was no reason to believe those claims, there’s no evidence substantiating these new dating ones, either.
