Jennifer Aniston is not getting a breast lift, despite a salacious story in this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop can bust this unseemly, untrue report about the actress' bust.
The article in question can be found in OK!, under the headline, "Jen Ready For A Lift." The piece begins, "As she turns 49 this month, sources say Jennifer Aniston has promised herself a special birthday present: a breast lift." (Aniston's birthday is February 11 and this issue is dated February 5, but it was released on January 24.) A so-called "insider" is quoted as saying, "Jen's been upset about her sagging [chest] for a while." But according to the gossip magazine, "her recent holiday in Cabo sealed the deal."
"Jen felt really self-conscious in her bikinis," alleges the supposed source, who claims, "She's always prided herself on having a tight body, but now she thinks she can use a surgical pick-me-up." What's more is the outlet contends she "doesn't plan to tell" husband Justin Theroux "in advance," although it won't be a "total shock." The purported tipster maintains Aniston wants to "surprise him," but "doesn't want anything drastic. She's just looking for a boost."
It's not explained how Aniston would keep such a surgery a secret from her spouse. Also not mentioned is the star's previous comments about largely shunning plastic surgery. In a 2007 People interview, for example, she was asked to comment on speculation about her chest and nose. "It's funny. I had [a deviated septum] fixed — best thing I ever did... As far as all the other [rumors], as boring as it sounds, it's still mine. All of it," Aniston said, adding, "Short of letting everybody have a feel, I don't know what else to do. I really am pretty happy with what God gave me."
And in 2015, she told InStyle UK, "People lose perspective. I look around and see how bad plastic surgery and injections can really kick you in the [rear]." That same year, Gossip Cop debunked an In Touch report about Aniston having work done on her breasts. We similarly corrected RadarOnline for such false claims in 2016.
Now the website's sister publication is offering more erroneous claims, with a rep for Aniston denying these breast lift allegations have any merit. It's worth remembering OK! is the same tabloid that insisted Aniston was pregnant with a "miracle baby" last August. Nothing is said about that supposed pregnancy in this new story, but it still proves a point: The magazine doesn't actually have reliable insight when it comes to the actress.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
