A story about Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt‘s “second wedding joy” is both late and wrong. Gossip Cop can bust this regurgitated, false claim. As we’ve rightly reported multiple times, Aniston and Pitt are not back together, let alone getting married.
But on Wednesday, In Touch published a cover story that untruthfully announced Pitt and Aniston are having a “wedding and baby.” The article was entirely fabricated, much like others the tabloid has printed about the former spouses in recent months. While the magazine has been carrying on this fake storyline about the exes reconciling, Pitt and Aniston actually haven’t seen each other in a long time. Their individual reps have separately told Gossip Cop on several occasions that they are not getting back together, and Aniston’s spokesperson even said on the record that this latest twist in the outlet’s wholly manufactured narrative is just another “made-up story that has no relationship with reality.”
Now New Idea has apparently opted to ignore our debunking, the official comments and reputable reporting from credible publications because a headline on its website declares, “Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s second wedding joy.” According to the tabloid, they’ve decided to “give happily ever after another try” and “give their failed marriage a second chance.” What’s the proof? The magazine relies entirely on the busted In Touch story.
The outlet quotes extensively from the print article, and goes on to exclaim, “Now that Jen is back with Brad, the Hollywood starlet is happier than ever!” Of course, the publication has no evidence to support either of those contentions, or any of the other ones. What’s more is that New Idea asserts, “Neither Jen or Brad have responded to In Touch‘s report.” That simply isn’t true. As noted above, Aniston’s spokesperson, who is authorized to speak on her behalf, publicly called the claims “made-up.” Additionally, we shared in our debunking that “the article is so provably untrue that Pitt’s rep said it wasn’t even worth commenting on.”
Unsurprisingly, the tabloid doesn’t acknowledge any of that. What’s also curious is that its post leaves out all the claims about Aniston and Pitt having a “baby,” and focuses entirely on the “wedding” aspect. Furthermore, the magazine makes no mention of its own previous “wedding and baby” cover story about Aniston and Pitt from February. Gossip Cop rightly busted that, just as we have some of New Idea‘s other tall tales, such as ones about them going to the Oscars together in March, which obviously never happened. There was even a phony May cover story about Aniston being pregnant, which of course isn’t referenced now either.
Conclusion: When In Touch peddled a cover story this week claiming Aniston and Pitt were getting married and having a baby, Gossip Cop offered clear proof that they aren’t even back together. We’ve correctly reported that for months, and not once have they been seen together. In fact, Pitt is currently in London to spend time with his kids; he’s not wedding planning or starting a new family with his ex-wife. Aniston’s spokesperson went on the record to refute the article, and Pitt’s rep thought it was so obviously untrue that he didn’t even need to offer a formal remark.
Despite that, New Idea is repeating the bogus allegations, even though it has zero evidence that they are accurate. The magazine made no discernible effort to fact-check the claims, or even do any additional investigating at all. The outlet even ignores its own prior wedding and baby reports as it touts this new one. Its own history shows the outlet can’t be trusted, and it made an inexcusable mistake in trusting the equally dubious In Touch. The unequivocal truth remains the same: Aniston and Pitt haven’t reunited, and they are most certainly not having a wedding and baby together. There is no “second wedding joy.”
