One of this week's tabloids claims Jennifer Aniston has reunited with Brad Pitt's mom, Jane Pitt. The story is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
According to Star, Aniston got back in touch with her ex-husband's mom after he attended her 50th birthday party last month. "Making up with Brad was the best thing that could have happened to Jen, because it clears the way for her to regain her friendship with Jane," a supposed source tells the magazine. The actress had a complicated relationship with her own mother, who passed away in 2016, but the outlet claims she's now relying on Jane for a "mother-daughter" type of bond.
The alleged insider further contends that Pitt had forbidden his mom from having contact with Aniston while he was with Angelina Jolie, but now the actor has given them permission to get together and they're "picking up right where they left off." The suspicious tipster goes on to say that Jane never got along with Jolie, but always "thought of Jen as one of her daughters, and it was hard for both of them to keep their distance."
"They always remembered each other's birthdays and couldn't express their well-wishes," adds the seemingly phony source. "Brad's divorce is in its final stages, and the lines of communication are open. It's wonderful."
The tabloid's false story is coming from an unidentified "source," but Gossip Cop reached out to Aniston's spokesperson, who tells us on the record it's fabricated. Despite what the magazine's anonymous tipster claims, the actress's rep confirms this storyline involving her and Pitt's mother is made-up. It's not original either.
Just a few weeks ago, Gossip Cop called out NW for wrongly reporting that Aniston was bonding with Pitt's mom again. The premise wasn't true then and it's no more accurate now. Although the ex-spouses are back in touch and on friendly terms, the actress hasn't been reconnecting with his family members.
It's worth noting, Star doesn't have a great track record when it comes to reporting about the exes. Just a few months ago, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Pitt and Aniston were having a baby together after rekindling their romance. Naturally, there was no truth to the story. This latest phony article makes no mention of the exes being back together or having a child on the way.
Last year, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for making up a story about Pitt and Aniston getting "caught kissing." That never happened. Instead, the untrustworthy outlet used photoshopped images to sell its bogus story. This latest article is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
