A tabloid claims Jennifer Aniston wants Brad Pitt to "go public" with their supposed romance now that he's legally single again. Nothing about the story is remotely true. Gossip Cop can correct it.
Earlier this month, Pitt and Angelina Jolie were granted a bifurcated judgment to dissolve their status as a married couple before officially finalizing their divorce. According to Star, Aniston wants to step out with her ex-husband now that he's single in the eyes of the law. "She's held off on seeing other people because she knew this was coming," an alleged source tells the outlet.
"No other guy even comes close in terms of attraction," adds the supposed insider, who goes on to say that Pitt still wants to explore his options. "They'll go on dates, but nothing will be exclusive for now," adds the seemingly phony tipster. "She's fine with that, but if Brad finally feels like he wants to get serious, Jen is more than ready."
The primary problem with the tabloid's report is that Aniston and Pitt aren't back together. Separate reps for both stars have gone on the record countless times to dismiss rumors about the two reconciling. The ex-spouses are on friendly terms, which is the reason Pitt stopped by the actress's 50th birthday party in February. Spokespeople for both stars, however, have assured us they're not reuniting as a couple. Reputable outlets such as E! News have similarly confirmed that Pitt and Aniston "definitely aren't dating or on that path."
It's worth noting, Star seems to have a short memory span when it comes to the stories it makes up. Just a few months ago, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Pitt and Aniston were having a baby together after supposedly rekindling their romance. That obviously wasn't the case and this latest article makes no mention of the exes expecting a child.
And earlier this year, when false rumors began circulating about Pitt dating Charlize Theron, Star gladly jumped on the bandwagon. The magazine concocted a bogus story about Jolie hiring private investigators to spy on her estranged husband and the actress. Only, Pitt and Theron were never a couple, and his estranged wife didn't enlist detectives to get dirt on their nonexistent relationship.
Here's what's really happening. Star is simply capitalizing on the recent news about Pitt becoming legally single again by dragging Aniston into the fold. The actress isn't back together with her ex-husband and the status of his divorce doesn't concern her.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
