Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are not "getting married again," despite a ridiculous new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can debunk this absurd report. It is 100 percent made-up.
The new cover of NW features an old photo of Aniston and Pitt with the exclamation, "Jen & Brad's Second Chance: 'We're Getting Married Again!'" Neither star ever said that and they're not going to. This quote is entirely fabricated, much like the article inside the issue. After noting Aniston's recent separation from Justin Theroux, the gossip magazine alleges, "Jen has romantically reunited with Brad, and they're getting ready for another walk down the aisle."
"She's back with Brad and it's been in the works for a while now," a so-called "insider" is quoted as saying. Unsurprisingly, though, the marriage premise comes with a caveat: The outlet asserts Aniston "isn't planning on rushing to the Chapel of Love." "Their plan is to get remarried eventually. They'd love an intimate ceremony in Mexico with just their friends and family... But for right now they're just happy being back together," contends the supposed source.
And in a purported sign that Aniston is "wasting no time moving on, and moving in, with Brad," the publication asserts they've "purchased a new home" together "in their old Hollywood Hills neighborhood." Tellingly, no other sites, particularly those focused on real estate, have reported anything about that. Also, nothing is mentioned about Pitt surprising Aniston for her birthday at a Los Angeles restaurant. That, after all, was a claim featured in last week's issue of the magazine. The tabloid maintained the former spouses met up for dinner at the Sunset Tower hotel, where he made a "touching proposal."
The "supposed" proposal, though, didn't have anything to do with marriage. Rather, the magazine alleged Pitt suggested he and Aniston start a business together. In that piece, the outlet insisted the exes were "just mates." Now one week later, they're a couple and planning to remarry? It's readily apparent what's actually going on. Simply because Aniston and Theroux have officially split, NW has manufactured a narrative about a reconciliation with Pitt.
But it's all fiction. Unlike the tabloid, which piles on absurd quotations and scenarios that it attributes to untraceable sources, a rep for Aniston tells Gossip Cop on the record that the entire story is "fabrication." Similarly, a Pitt confidante shares on background that the article is "pure nonsense." They are not planning to tie the knot again and they have absolutely not bought a home to share together. In fact, Aniston and Pitt haven't even seen each other in quite some time, despite the concocted birthday dinner tale. The gossip media has been clamoring for an Aniston-Pitt reunion for more than a decade now, but it's not going to happen.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
