Jennifer Aniston is still single because she can’t get over her exes, Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux? That’s what one of the tabloids is claiming. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony story.
Aniston is on good terms with both of her ex-husbands having recently spent time with each of them. Pitt attended the actress’s Christmas party earlier this month, while Theroux was a guest at her Friendsgiving dinner in November. According to Heat, Aniston’s previous relationships are preventing her from moving on with her love life.
A supposed source tells the magazine, “She’s definitely holding on to feelings for her exes, especially Brad and Justin, and it’s hard to argue it’s not playing a big part in the reason why Jen’s still single. She’s been on several dates, but nothing’s really clicked. There’s a big part of her that’d love to reunite with Justin, plus she’s always got Brad in her thoughts.”
The alleged insider goes on to say that Aniston’s friends are encouraging her to date other men and “worry she’s in danger of living in the past,” but she simply “can’t move on.” The suspicious tipster adds, “Once she realizes someone’s a poor man’s Justin or Brad, so to speak, she tends to lose interest. She has extremely high standards and prides herself on the long-term relationships she’s had in the past.”
The tabloid’s report was concocted simply because the Friends star is friendly with her exes. In October, Aniston said on The Howard Stern Show that she’s not dating and is “very busy” with work at the moment. The actress further noted that she’s focusing on her career at this time, which includes prepping the second season of The Morning Show. The reason Aniston is single is because she’s choosing to focus on work. Her relationship status has nothing to do with Pitt or Theroux.
Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the actress, who confirms the outlet’s premise is ridiculous. Heat also can’t keep track of its fake narratives. Prior to this, the magazine spent a large chunk of time insisting that Aniston and Theroux were at war with each other. In June, for example, the outlet claimed Aniston was ending her friendship with Courteney Cox for “joking around” with her ex on Instagram. That article was clearly absurd.
Shortly before that, the tabloid said Aniston was planning a “tell-all interview” about Pitt, who was worried about it jeopardizing his divorce settlement with Angelina Jolie. That drama was also imaginary. As opposed to having issues with her exes, the magazine now wants readers to believe she’s can’t get over them. All of these storylines are inaccurate.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
