A new story claiming Jennifer Aniston is “crushed” over Brad Pitt‘s “rumored romance” with MIT professor Neri Oxman is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this report, which was posted by HollywoodLife.
According to the often discredited website, Pitt has been spending a “lot of time” with Oxman, and Aniston “isn’t happy about it.” In a purported “exclusive,” a so-called “source” is quoted as telling the online publication in bizarrely unnatural language, “Jen is crushed after hearing the rumors that Brad has been talking to a beautiful, Angelina Jolie lookalike, MIT professor.” The outlet’s conveniently untraceable “insider” continues, “Jen had her hopes up of a possible reconciliation with Brad since she and her ex started talking again. When they both became recently single, Jen thought the timing couldn’t be better.”
The unreliable website, which is known for its slew of fabricated stories about the former couple, goes on to repeat the false claim that “Jennifer and Brad started speaking following her separation from her husband Justin Theroux,” adding, “you can understand why she’s so taken aback by the news!” Of course, it was reported by Gossip Cop and numerous other outlets that Aniston and Pitt were in touch over a year ago, so the site’s premise is simply wrong.
The aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies’ further contends, “Jen and Brad have been secretly getting together for late-night hookups, and it’s all because of George [Clooney].” Again, Gossip Cop already busted the site for publishing that tall tale about Aniston and Pitt’s (nonexistent) “late-night hookups” being set up by Clooney, with a rep for the Gravity star denying the report. Even before fact-checking this latest story, it’s clear the entire article is fabricated, particularly given the website’s poor track record.
While it’s true Pitt has been spending time with Oxman, connecting over their mutual interest in design and architecture, they’re just friends, a rep for Pitt confirms to Gossip Cop. But regardless of the nature of Pitt’s relationship with Oxman, Aniston and Pitt have no interest in reconciling with one another, so it’s ridiculous to think that Aniston would be “crushed” over Pitt’s “rumored romance” with the professor. As People has reported, Aniston’s interest in Pitt is “ancient history.”
As we’ve also repeatedly noted, no one remotely close to either Pitt or Aniston is feeding HollywoodLies with information about them. That’s obvious by all these inaccuracies. This latest piece of fiction surrounding the former couple, which is stuffed with a jumble of fake quotes, needs to be thrown on the trash pile like all the rest.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
