Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have not been meeting up for “low-key dinners” at the actress’s house, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony story. We’ve learned it’s fabricated.
According to OK!, the ex-spouses have been secretly meeting up ever since Pitt attended her 50th birthday party in February. A supposed source tells the outlet that they frequently share meals at Aniston’s home, adding, “They love hanging out on the patio, listening to music and talking about life.” The alleged insider further contends that their conversation got serious during a recent meetup, during which they “started talking about their marriage and what went wrong.”
The suspicious tipster adds, “Brad let Jen know how sorry he was for everything that happened, and told her that if he could take it all back, he would.” The anonymous source goes on to say that Pitt’s apology “made [Aniston] realize that it’s truly time to put the past aside and to start seeing Brad fully for who he really is, a nice guy who messed up royally.”
The tabloid’s report, which is based on claims from an unknown “insider,” is total fiction. Gossip Cop ran the story by Pitt’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it’s made-up. The actor’s rep, who’s qualified to speak on his behalf, tells us he hasn’t been secretly going to Aniston’s house for dinner, and the incident described in the magazine never occurred.
It should be noted, “Entertainment Tonight” reported earlier this week that Aniston “continues to say in touch” with Pitt and “they occasionally talk.” The key word being “occasionally.” Although the ex-spouses are on good terms these days, they’re not sharing frequent dinners at Aniston’s home.
Another major problem with the tabloid’s article is that it doesn’t mention anything about the exes being back together romantically. Mentioning something that isn’t true wouldn’t typically be a problem, but it becomes one when the same outlet claimed in May that Pitt proposed to Aniston during a “romantic dinner” at her house. This latest article omits that storyline and simply maintains that they’re sharing friendly meals.
Less than a year ago, Gossip Cop busted OK! for making up a story about Pitt and Aniston getting married and having a baby. That fabricated scenario also goes unmentioned in this latest piece about the exes. The unreliable tabloid can’t seem to decide where things stand between the ex-spouses, so it invents fictional and contradictory narratives instead.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
