One of the tabloids claims Jennifer Aniston flirted with Alex Rodriguez at Leonardo DiCaprio's 44th birthday party earlier this month. The story is completely fabricated. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk it.

A headline in the latest issue of NW reads, "Did Jen Get Flirty With J. Lo's Man?" The accompanying article says the actress may have "broken the girl code" at DiCaprio's party by getting too close to Jennifer Lopez's boyfriend. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "She had a bit of a glint in her eye while talking to A-Rod," who attended the bash without his famous girlfriend. The supposed source goes on to say that the actress stopped short of hitting on the former MLB star, but was still "batting her eyelids" at him.

Here's what's true about the magazine's story: Aniston went to DiCaprio's birthday party earlier this month. Here's what's false: everything else. Despite what the outlet's anonymous and untraceable "source" says, Gossip Cop checked in with the actress's rep, who tells on the record that the article is fabricated. The outlet is seemingly trying to create a random and nonexistent controversy simply because both Aniston and Rodriguez were at the same party.

In fact, People magazine recently reported that Aniston "isn't concerned about dating" and "is happy to focus on work." "Entertainment Tonight" also recently published an article about Aniston's "perfectly happy single life," and noted that the actress "feels more centered than ever because she's not dating anyone and she's perfectly happy." Aniston isn't on the hunt for a new man, and she certainly didn't set her sights on another celebrity's boyfriend.

Meanwhile, NW has a long history of writing fiction about the actress. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid in August for falsely claiming that Aniston was helping Brad Pitt win back his kids in court amid his custody battle with Angelina Jolie. Shortly after that nonsense, we called out the magazine for making up a story about Jolie warning Aniston to stay away from Pitt and her children.

It's also worth noting, Gossip Cop has had to debunk other bogus stories surrounding Aniston's attendance at DiCpario's star-studded birthday bash. We busted Life & Style last week for falsely claiming that the only reason Aniston went to the party was to find a new boyfriend. Naturally, another tabloid tried to create a fake romance between Aniston and DiCaprio. This latest article stemming from the actress being at the party is more nonsense.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
