Did Jenna Dewan really demand she join Channing Tatum at “Magic Mike Live” in Las Vegas because she doesn’t trust him? That’s the claim in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop can exclusively reveal the truth.
On Friday, Tatum’s “Magic Mike Live” premiered at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The stage show, conceived of and directed by Tatum, is based on the actor’s Magic Mike films and real-life experiences as a male stripper. Now, Star alleges Dewan accompanied Tatum to Vegas, where he promoted the show, in an effort to make sure her husband didn’t “press his luck” in Sin City.
The outlet quotes a source as saying, “Jenna trusts Channing, but… as soon as she heard they would be rehearsing in Las Vegas, she demanded to come along.” The publication then adds how Dewan even “turned down” a luxury suite at the Hard Rock Hotel because she wanted to stay in a “family-friendly” mansion five miles away from the Las Vegas strip.
What immediately set off an alarm with Gossip Cop is how the tabloid’s supposed insider mentioned “they would be rehearsing in Las Vegas.” Rehearsals for the show have long been over. “Magic Mike Live” opened on Friday. She’s been by her husband’s side because they and their daughter Everly are a family and enjoy being together. The only one not to trust is Star.
In December, for example, we called out the magazine for falsely alleging Tatum and Dewan were fighting over having a second child. And shortly before that story, we corrected the outlet for untruthfully claiming Dewan and Tatum were living separate lives. But there’s no drama between them, despite the tabloid’s unsuccessful attempts to create it.
Regardless, Gossip Cop looked into this latest report, and a rep for Dewan tells us the outlet’s story is complete “nonsense.” Additionally, Tatum’s spokesperson also exclusively also assures us the claims are “absurd” and “totally untrue.” Maybe it’s time for the tabloid to stop trusting its provably wrong sources.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
