A new report claims Jenna Dewan "can't get over" Channing Tatum and "hates dating." But Gossip Cop has learned it's untrue. We're told all talk about her being unable to move on is "nonsense."
According to In Touch, Dewan is having a "tough time" moving on after she and Tatum announced their split in April, following nearly nine years of marriage. A so-called "source" tells the tabloid, "Jenna's not taking the divorce as easily as she thought she would." "Channing was her rock, and now he's gone," adds the alleged insider.
The purported tipster goes on to assert Dewan "hate dating." "She finds L.A. men empty, only looking to have a pretty girl by their side," contends the source. She even wonders, despite their issues, "if they didn't try hard enough" to salvage their marriage, claims the insider.
Not long after the magazine published its article, it emerged that Tatum is dating Jessie J. It appears the two have been a couple for more than a month and that the Magic Mike actor has recently been attending a number of her U.S. concerts. From what Gossip Cop has found out, and other outlets as well, Dewan is perfectly fine with Tatum's new romance with Jessie J.
As a matter of fact, we're told the magazine's story is "nonsense" and that Dewan is in good spirits and also dating. Similarly, E! News confirms Dewan isn't terribly concerned about Tatum, as long as he remains a part of their daughter Everly's life. "They are both moving on with their lives," reports the outlet.
Gossip Cop is not completely surprised the tabloid is wrong. Shortly after the couple broke up six months ago, In Touch published a cover story that falsely maintained Tatum and Dewan's divorce was getting ugly. As we noted back then, it wasn't true and now half a year later it's clear their split has been amicable. When they separated, Tatum and Dewan jointly expressed on Instagram they anticipated the truth would get "distorted" and that a certain amount of "fiction" would be written about them.
What's particularly amusing is how In Touch's sister publication OK! wrongly asserted just last week that Dewan and Tatum are back together and their divorce was off. Gossip Cop busted that phony report, which further contended they "don't want to go on without each other." Much like that story and the others previously mentioned, the latest article about Dewan is inaccurate. Perhaps the tabloids should move on to a new subject.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
