Jamie Foxx is NOT engaged to Katie Holmes because he was spotted wearing a gold ring, despite a new webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim. We’re told it’s “completely inaccurate.”
According to the know-nothings at HollywoodLife, a day after a (false) report that Holmes and Foxx are “expecting a baby girl together,” the actor was seen wearing a “suspicious looking gold band on that finger” at an Atlanta airport, which it claims is a sign that the two are “ready to take their relationship to the next level.” The woefully mistaken webloid then writes, “They’ve managed to keep a pretty tight lid on their relationship thus far, but is it possible that Jamie just let a huge secret out of the bag?” Meanwhile, the rest of the untrustworthy site’s article is filled with previously disproven tales about Holmes supposedly being pregnant and talk of her and Foxx’s (nonexistent) wedding plans.
Of course, none of it is true. But HollywoodLies, which rarely fact-checks stories, often doesn’t let pesky little things like the truth get in the way of its clickbait. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked with Foxx’s rep, who exclusively tells us the gold band is most assuredly not an engagement ring. We’re told the webloid’s “reporting is completely inaccurate.”
Interestingly, though not surprising, the same disreputable webloid wrongly reported two months ago that Holmes was engaged because she wore a diamond to a red carpet event. As Gossip Cop exclusively reported back then, that story also didn’t ring true.
