Jamie Foxx did not ask Katie Holmes to guest star on “White Famous,” the new TV show he’s producing, despite an inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop looked into the claim and we’ve exclusively learned the truth.

The actor serves as an executive producer on the Showtime series, which is loosely based on his career and life experiences. An article in the latest issue of In Touch says Foxx recently offered Holmes a cameo, but she turned it down. “She’s flattered by Jamie’s offer but has declined for now,” a so-called “source” tells the magazine. “She wants ‘White Famous’ to be Jamie’s project and fears that she’ll steal his thunder if she makes an appearance.”

The outlet’s questionable insider goes on to say the actress is still a big fan of the show and “was laughing hysterically” when she watched it for the first time. It should be noted, the first season has already wrapped filming and Showtime has yet to announced if the show will be renewed. Considering that the comedy series is currently in a transitional period, it doesn’t make much sense that Holmes would be offered a hypothetical role.

Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us that the actress was never asked to appear on “White Famous.” This article was seemingly fabricated to capitalize on the casual relationship between Foxx and Holmes, but there’s no truth to any of it. Additionally, In Touch consistently publishes bogus stories about the pair.

Gossip Cop recently called out the tabloid for falsely claiming Holmes was furious about Foxx flirting with Charlize Theron at a boxing match. Shortly before that nonsense, we debunked the magazine’s phony story about Foxx renting out Disneyland for a date night with Holmes. This latest report is more fiction from the frequently discredited outlet.
