Is Jamie Foxx insisting that Katie Holmes get plastic surgery before they get married? That's the absurd claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can set the record straight.

According to the Globe, the actor wants his girlfriend to get a butt and breast lift before he walks down the aisle with her. The magazine further maintains that Foxx gave the actress a $30,000 gift certificate to her favorite Beverly Hills spa so she can get the procedures done. A supposed source tells the magazine, "She agrees with Jamie - she should get breast augmentation surgery. She's actually excited about the prospect. She's thinking at least a C cup."

The outlet's alleged insider continues, "She'd like to fix her droopy derriere too by getting fat injections. She's already shown Jamie the new bathing suits she's buying that will show off her new figure." The questionable tipster further contends that Holmes has no issue with undergoing major plastic surgery for her boyfriend as "she's so in love and in lust with this guy and will do anything to please him." The seemingly nonexistent source concludes, "Jamie has been trying to ignore Katie's droopy pouches, but now that she is pushing for marriage, he is more aware of her body than ever before."

In addition to the tabloid's story being ridiculously insulting, it's also completely wrong. Gossip Cop reached out to Holmes' spokesperson, who tells us on the record that the report is total nonsense. Despite what the magazine's anonymous and untraceable "insider" claims, a rep qualified to speak on the actress's behalf assures us Foxx isn't pressuring her to get plastic surgery.

It's worth noting, Holmes opened up about her fitness routine in an interview with Women's Health last year. The actress went into detail about working out with a trainer and taking various classes to stay in shape. Holmes seems to pride herself on staying fit through exercise, not by getting nips and tucks.

Meanwhile, Foxx and Holmes have no plans to get hitched, so the tabloid's story is predicated on a false premise. When reports started circulating a couple of months ago that they had gotten engaged, Holmes' rep told the New York Post the rumors were untrue. Additionally, Foxx's rep has assured Gossip Cop several times as of late that he has no plans to get married.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time the Globe has made up a story about the actor making demands ahead of a supposed wedding. A few months ago, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming that Foxx was forcing Holmes to sign a prenup before they got married. The magazine also has a habit of publishing bogus articles surrounding the actress's physical appearance. Gossip Cop previously called out the tabloid for falsely claiming that Holmes was trying to lose weight to keep Foxx interested in her. This latest report involving pre-wedding plastic surgery is more fiction.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
