Jamie Foxx did not “blow it” with Katie Holmes, contrary to a provably false report. Gossip Cop can easily debunk this story. As we’ve already reported, the stars are very much continuing their casual relationship.
But the National Enquirer on Tuesday is claiming Foxx recently had a “wild weekend of flirting with bikini-clad babes” that “may cost him any chance to kiss and make up with a furious” Holmes. It’s alleged the actress is “fuming over her on-off lover’s blatant womanizing” following a trip to Miami late last month. “Jamie’s going to have a lot of groveling to do if he wants to get back together with Katie,” a so-called “pal” is quoted as saying.
The supermarket tabloid seems to be working off the false premise that Foxx and Holmes split weeks ago, something Gossip Cop debunked and other outlets corroborated. The purported friend asserts that in the wake of that nonexistent breakup, “Katie was warming to the idea of seeing Jamie again, but he humiliated her with his shameless flirting.” That line, and some of the other quotes in this piece, are taken from similar RadarOnline and Star stories.
Almost two weeks ago, the website and the magazine, which are the tabloid’s sister publications, wanted readers to believe Holmes was “done” with Foxx after his partying. Though that tale was inaccurate, the National Enquirer is now peddling the same misinformation as if it’s all suddenly true. It is not, and the outlet has no evidence proving otherwise.
But there is, however, readily available proof that the stars are still seeing each other. A week ago, Holmes and Foxx stepped out for a date night in New York City. Paparazzi even got a rare shot of them together as he helped the actress out of their SUV. These photos were splashed across the internet last week, making it inexcusable for the National Enquirer to claim so long after the fact that Foxx has “blown it.”
Of course, the tabloid has a documented history of running fiction when it comes to the pair. In April, Gossip Cop observed that a full year had passed since the magazine falsely claimed Foxx was adopting Holmes’ daughter, Suri. And it’s been more than two years since the outlet fabricated a tale about Holmes and Foxx being married. Notably, this latest piece says nothing about the stars now needing to get divorced. This all underscores what Holmes’ rep recently told Gossip Cop about tabloid coverage of the duo: “No one really knows anything.” The spokesperson also maintained all the split claims were still 100 percent untrue.
Conclusion: The National Enquirer claims Holmes and Foxx have split, when it was already established in late June that there was never any kind of a breakup. The publication is trying to use instances of Foxx’s partying from around that time to assert now in late July that he may have lost his chance to reconcile and “get back together” with her. But a full week before this article was published on the tabloid’s website, Foxx and Holmes were photographed out together on a date. That proves the premise of this story is entirely wrong. Foxx hasn’t “blown” anything when he and Holmes are clearly still together.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
