Jamie Foxx did not beg Katie Holmes to take him back after he was spotted "flirting" with other women, despite a completely inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the story. The outlet's account of the situation is simply wrong.
Last month, Foxx was photographed partying at various events in Miami, and according to Woman's Day, Holmes had dumped the actor after seeing the pictures. The magazine then acknowledges that Foxx and Holmes were spotted on a dinner date in New York City last week, but falsely claims the outing came after a brief breakup.
An alleged insider tells the tabloid, "Jamie apologized for being insensitive and told Katie he felt terrible after they split. He swore he never cheated on her, saying it was harmless flirting." The supposed source adds, "Katie didn't take much convincing. It's as though he can do what he wants because she can't live without him!"
However, it was already established last month that Holmes and Foxx never split, despite various tabloids alleging they called off their romance due to "trust issues." A rep for the actress went on the record to say the claim was "100 percent untrue." The actor didn't need to "convince" Holmes to take him back because there was no breakup. Sources close to the situation previously told us the two aren't in a committed relationship, but do "what works for them."
People has backed up this notion as well. The trusted magazine recently published and article about Holmes and Foxx's secretive relationship, noting that they "don't see themselves as a couple in the traditional sense and they don't want to be labeled as a couple." The publication even explained that neither "want to have expectations placed on them about how they should be acting in public." Simply put, Holmes and Foxx have a relaxed dynamic. They enjoy spending time together, but they're on the same page when it comes to having their own separate lives.
It should also be noted, the tabloid is trying to make it seem as if Foxx was caught flirting with other women, but the actor has nothing to hide. A mutual pal of ours and the star recently told us "he knows he's in a public forum" when he talks to other women. When Foxx is seen partying, he's not doing it behind Holmes' back, nor does the actress have any issue with him socializing when they're not together.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
