Is Irina Shayk really warning Lady Gaga to "back off" Bradley Cooper? That's the ridiculous claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk the nonexistent drama.
Earlier this month, the Russian supermodel posted an Instagram photo of herself working out in the gym, along with the caption, "Watch ya back." The picture was taken from behind and showed off Shayk's back muscles. Woman's Day Australia, however, has an absurd interpretation of the image. "It was a clear message to Lady Gaga warning her to keep her hands off her man," writes the outlet.
An alleged source tells the magazine, "Irina has had to deal with everyone speculating over Bradley and Gaga's ridiculously close friendship and she's sick of it. She hoped once awards season was over that talk about Bradley and Gaga becoming an item would die down, but sadly that hasn't been the case."
The supposed insider further contends that Shayk's workout photo was her way of "reminding the world" that Cooper "is all hers." The suspicious tipster adds, "Irina is fighting back. She's showing Gaga who's boss and Bradley the reason that she caught his eye to begin with."
The magazine's purely speculative report is a major stretch. Despite the premise being baseless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who assures us the tabloid's account of events is ludicrous. Shayk simply shared a photo of herself exercising. That's where this story begins and ends. The model's gym photo has no connection to either Cooper or Gaga.
As Gossip Cop has stressed several times, there's no jealousy or love triangle surrounding Cooper, his girlfriend and his A Star Is Born co-star. In fact, Shayk gave Gaga and Cooper a standing ovation following their performance at the Oscars last month. The supermodel was also photographed hugging Gaga after the singer won the award for Best Original Song.
A few weeks ago, Gossip Cop busted Woman's Day Australia for falsely claiming Cooper was leaving Shayk for Gaga. That obviously hasn't happened. The actor and his girlfriend were spotted on a lunch date in New York City just last week. In January, we called out the magazine for wrongly alleging Cooper and Shayk were ending their relationship over his co-star. They're still very much together.
The unreliable outlet has spent a lot of time trying to create a soap opera about all those involved in this article. The ongoing saga is fabricated. This latest report, which has been concocted based on an innocuous Instagram post, is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
