HollywoodLife made Nikki Bella its “Star Of The Week” on Friday, days after being caught spreading lies about her and new fiancé John Cena. Allow Gossip Cop to explain what’s going on.

As we previously reported, Cena proposed to Bella at WrestleMania on Sunday. On Monday, HollywoodLies did what has become its modus operandi: The webloid published “exclusives” about the couple, pretending to suddenly have sources dishing about the engagement and the wrestlers’ future together. But it was nothing but a magic trick designed to lure readers and game Google.

On Wednesday, the deception was exposed. After HollywoodLies ran two “exclusives” about Bella and Cena wanting to have kids together, she stated very clearly in interviews that they will NOT be having children. She said, more than once and to more than one outlet, that they have no intention of becoming parents. This is the opposite of what the bad blog had peddled, thereby revealing their misinformation to be nothing more than a fabrication.

Now after that, HollywoodLies has a lot of gall of trying to capitalize on Bella once more by naming her its “Star Of The Week.” The new article is full of praise for the “Total Divas” star, yet makes no mention of nor apologizes for making up stories about her. It takes a lot of nerve to exploit a celebrity with fake news and then try to suck up to her with a rather meaningless award.

And this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has observed this disturbing stunt. Back in February, the disreputable online publication named Selena Gomez its “Star Of The Week” after telling manufactured tales about her relationship with The Weeknd. Not only that, Gomez herself had previously deemed the site the “worst” and called out the outlet for being “never true.” Yet, HollywoodLies still saw fit to trade on her name without acknowledging any of its past wrongdoings.

But the webloid still continues to use twist the truth when it comes to Gomez whenever possible, and it’s pattern we are now seeing with Bella. Gossip Cop will continue to highlight the inaccuracies as we see them, as well as the blatantly disingenuous clickbait.
