Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift’s relationship is not “fake,” nor is he “regretting” their romance, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story. We’re told the alleged “exclusive” is made up.

The claims come from The Hollywood Gossip, which purports to have a “source close to the British actor” divulging how his relationship with Swift is “nothing more than a contrived publicity stunt,” and now he “regrets ever going along with it.” The supposed tipster alleges Hiddleston was approached by Swift’s camp for a faux-mance, and “Tom was prepared to go along with it because he believed that he and Taylor would be able to find something in common with each other.”

Now, though, the outlet’s alleged snitch says the actor is “beginning to realize that he may have made a mistake.” Swift’s supposedly clingy behavior is said to be making Hiddleston feel “trapped.” Tellingly, though, the site expresses doubt about its own “exclusive,” writing, “if our source is to be believed,” and even asking, “Are we at THG getting played by our supposed inside source?”

Well, allow Gossip Cop to set the record straight. No, this “source” is NOT to be believed, and yes, The Hollywood Gossip IS getting played. Or at least playing its readers.

Gossip Cop has learned that NO ONE legitimately connected to Hiddleston has talked with the webloid. In fact, we’re exclusively told, “This is all totally absurd. No genuine friend of Tom’s would have even heard of this website, let alone spoken to them.” Whether The Hollywood Gossip outright chose to fabricate this piece or its “source” made up the quotes, there is zero credibility to the article’s claims.
