Harry Styles was not “dumped” by Tess Ward, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this inaccurate report, which further alleges he was “humiliated” by the food blogger. We’re told it’s all untrue.

Sometimes Gossip Cop thinks Celeb Dirty Laundry, which made the claim, couldn’t get a story right, even if we spotted the site the R-I-G-H and T. For example, the outlet alleges Styles is now “absolutely humiliated” after Ward “cut the cord in their relationship.” Not surprisingly, the site doesn’t offer how or when the singer was supposedly “dumped” or why, as it contends, it’s a “huge blow to his ego.” Instead, the often discredited webloid simply states, “She pulled the plug on their romance to get back with her ex-boyfriend,” who’s described as a “mysterious London businessman.” CDL concludes its facts-deficient article by noting, “Styles has not made any comments about the couple’s break up.”

There are a few good reasons why Styles won’t comment on the supposed “break up,” the main being that the singer and Ward were actually never really a couple. They hung out a few times and are friendly, but there was never a relationship. A mutual buddy of Gossip Cop and Styles’s assures us, “He was never dating her, so he couldn’t get dumped.”

And while we debunk inaccurate stories all the time, it’s still interesting to Gossip Cop how fake news takes on a life of its own. After Styles and Ward spent a little time together, a number of tabloids and blogs began publishing completely fictitious stories about their (non-existent) relationship, including articles that speculated how their supposed romance was heating up. But it was all based on the inaccurate premise that they were even dating. Should Styles begin seriously seeing someone, if you want the truth, it will be on Gossip Cop.
