Harry Styles appeared on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 breakfast show on Friday, where he was awkwardly asked if his new song, “Two Ghosts,” is about Taylor Swift. Listen below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Styles opened up about his relationship with Swift in a recent interview with Rolling Stone. When asked if any of his music was written about the “Bad Blood” singer, the former One Direction star said, “I write from my experiences, everyone does that. I’m lucky if everything [we went through] helped create those songs. That’s what hits your heart.” Now, after much speculation, the British radio host asked the popstar if his new track, “Two Ghosts,” is inspired by his former girlfriend.

“This has been on the actual news. Just go with it,” Grimshaw said. “Apparently, Harry Styles has written a song about Taylor Swift. You’re going to be asked about this, so I’m doing you a favor here. What is this song about? Don’t make me go to the lyrics.”

“I think it’s pretty self-explanatory,” an uncomfortable Styles said of the intriguing song, before segueing into a rather strange and confusing explanation. “Sometimes things change, and you can do all the same things, and sometimes, it’s just different,” the singer shared, avoiding the question. “So here we go, the one about Taylor Swift,” Grimshaw joked, ignoring his vague answer as he began to play the song. “Ah, no!” Styles shouted.
