James Corden Harry Styles Kiss

Is there anything better than the bromance between James Corden and the guys of One Direction? The “Late Late Show” host’s affinity for Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson knows no bounds. In fact, it reached a whole new level on Monday, when Corden’s new Christmas-inspired “Carpool Karaoke” featured the comedian and Styles sharing a festive smooch. That inspired Gossip Cop to look back at some other bromantic PDA moments between Corden and the performers.

1. Styles and Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” kiss was hardly the pair’s first. Before the British funnyman brought his amusing antics to the U.S., he was hosting “A League Of Their Own” in the U.K. During one episode of the sports-themed game show in 2013, Corden introduced a “Kiss Cam” that filmed audience members as Sixpence None The Richer’s “Kiss Me” played. It culminated with the camera focusing on Corden, who had guest panelist Styles sitting on his lap. Much to the crowd’s delight, they leaned in, puckered up and went for it.

2. That “League Of Their Own” taping wasn’t all about the bond between Styles and Corden. The TV personality and Horan solidified their own relationship with some (non-permanent) ink. After the Irish singer recalled how a tattoo artist refused to ink his derriere because it was too squishy, Corden offered his services. The result was a temporary tattoo of Corden’s face on one of Horan’s butt cheeks.

3. As scandalous as that might have been, our favorite interaction between Corden and Payne felt downright cathartic. It started with the two arguing on a September installment of the “Late Late Show” about whether boy bands are better than solo artists. That led to a “riff-off,” which began with Corden getting so close to Payne for a stare-down that their noses were touching. A hip thrust later followed, and by the time they hugged it out at the close of “Best Song Ever,” we were moved.

4. Ostensibly, this hilarious interaction between Tomlinson and Corden on the “Late Late Show” in 2015 started off as a way for Horan to audition to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond. But when the host offered to be the villain in the sketch, he needed a cat to stroke. And so Tomlinson was solicited to lounge on Corden’s lap and get pet as the singer pretended to be a feline. It was thoroughly bizarre but also comically priceless.
