Hannah Brown is acting like a diva on the set of Dancing with the Stars? That’s what one of the tabloids is saying. Gossip Cop looked into the story and we’ve learned it’s untrue.

The false claim can be found in the latest issue of In Touch, which calls the former Bachelorette star a “prima donna” on the dance floor. “She’s putting it out there that she grew up dancing, but fell out of love with it, which some contestants and pros see as arrogant,” an alleged source tells the magazine. “She’s still on her high horse from her Bachelorette fame and thinks she knows everything about how shows are taped because she just went through it on Bachelorette. But DWTS is nothing like that show! She just needs to relax and not try so hard.”

Not only does Brown’s spokesperson dismiss the report as nonsense, but her own dance partner, Alan Bersten, contradicts the idea of Brown being egocentric. “She doesn’t give herself enough credit,” Bersten told Fox News when asked about the Bachelorette star. “She is the hardest worker I’ve ever met.”

Meanwhile, Brown herself opened up about her difficulties adapting to Dancing with the Stars. The reality star told People magazine last week, “Rehearsals have been really hard for me… Going from The Bachelorette to being on Dancing with the Stars, I’m having to work through some things.” Brown further noted how “thankful” she is that her dancing partner “has been there and has been patient with me.”

Brown’s obvious humility aside, the tabloid also never exactly specifies why anyone on the show would find admitting to prior dance experience as “arrogant.” It seems pretty standard to mention any familiarity with certain kinds of dance to your dance partner. The “source” never mentions who specifically finds Brown to be problematic either, most likely because no one actually has any issues with her.

The popularity of Dancing with the Stars only amplifies the gossip media’s interest in its celebrity contestants. Just last week, Gossip Cop busted RadarOnline for a phony article about other Dancing with the Stars contestants being angry about Christie Brinkley’s daughter replacing her mom on the show. In January 2018, we debunked the New York Post’s incorrect report about Caitlyn Jenner joining the cast of the show for its 26th season. The tabloids just don’t seem to know what’s really going on behind the curtain, so they come up with these fake behind-the-scenes stories instead.
