Halle Berry has not told anyone how she feels about Jay Z's now song, which takes a swipe at Eric Benet for cheating on her when they were married, despite a website's claim. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this fake news story that alleges she "loves" it. We're told it's completely made up.
According to the serial fabricators at HollywoodLife, Berry supposedly "absolutely loves" the new song "Kill Jay-Z" because it mentions Benet by name for having been unfaithful to the stunning Oscar-winner. One of the website's seemingly made-up sources is quoted as saying Berry "thinks it's hilarious he cracked on Eric about his cheating." Benet's infidelity "did ruin their marriage" and it "hurt Halle," adds the outlet's alleged "source," who may in fact be Captain Obvious.
HollywoodLies, as it's known because of its habit of making up stories and quotations, fills out its article with even more widely known information. After noting how Berry and Benet divorced after he cheated on her, it relates how the singer later married Manuela Testolini. From there, the outlet simply regurgitates Jay Z's lyrics from his new track in which he raps, "You almost went Eric Benet. Let the baddest girl in the world get away."
The webloid, however, doesn't mention when Halle allegedly heard the song or to whom she purportedly conveyed that she "loves" it and finds it "hilarious." That's because every single Berry source we went to, and it was several, assured Gossip Cop that the HollywoodLies article is nothing more than a total fabrication. And while many celebrities have reacted to Jay's new album 4:44, we're told Berry has not uttered one single word about it.
Sadly, no one should be surprised. In fact, that same untrustworthy site reported just three weeks ago that Berry was pregnant at 50. That, too, was just another HollywoodLife fake news story. At the time, Berry's rep confirmed exclusively to Gossip Cop that it was "simply untrue." We have yet to hear back from her spokesperson about the webloid's latest tall tale.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
