Hailey Baldwin is not "pregnant already" with Justin Bieber's baby, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can correct this unsubstantiated claim. It appears to be nothing more than a tabloid speculating, based on Bieber and Baldwin unexpectedly picking up a marriage license in New York.

In a piece titled, "Justin & Hailey: Wedding & A Baby," In Touch notes now that they obtained a marriage license, "parenthood is next." The magazine even contends the model may be "pregnant already." To back up that flimsy assertion, the tabloid quotes an unnamed and untraceable "insider" as saying, "Justin is amazing with kids and can't wait to be a dad." Of course, liking children and wanting to be a father doesn't mean Bieber's fiancee is actually expecting.

Other than that quote and vaguely mentioning how they visited a "Beverly Hills medical office" on August 30, the publication ignores its premise about Baldwin having Bieber's baby for nearly the rest of its article. Only at the very end of its story does the tabloid again drag out its anonymous and possibly made-up "insider," who blathers, "Justin believes she's the right woman to be his wife and mother of his children." Obviously that's the case, otherwise he wouldn't have proposed to Baldwin and gotten a marriage license. As for that trip to the doctor's office late last month, Gossip Cop poked around and it appears it was actually an eye appointment for Bieber that Baldwin tagged along for.

As pointed out above, the tabloid tries to sell that its article is about Baldwin being pregnant, but it offers no proof whatsoever and mostly avoids the topic, except for a handful of obvious and general quotations about engaged people wanting to have kids. This, of course, is not news. Bieber has publicly expressed a desire to have children ever since he was 17 years old. In September 2011, when asked where he sees himself in five years, Bieber told WWD in an interview, "Well, by 25 or 26, I want to see myself, like, married or start looking for a family. I want to be a young dad."

That said, while we haven't heard back from Baldwin's rep, a source within Bieber's camp tells Gossip Cop the "Drop The Mic" host is not pregnant. Additionally, in a report about how Bieber and Baldwin are staying in a luxury villa in Italy, it's noted how the singer dropped $9,500 on a bottle of wine for them to enjoy. Additionally, fans posted pictures on Instagram of Baldwin enjoying some fine Italian wine. Clearly, she's not "pregnant already."

Of course, In Touch has been wrong before about the singer. In May 2014, for example, the tabloid ran a completely untrue cover story that maintained Selena Gomez was pregnant with Bieber's baby. More recently, Gossip Cop busted the publication for falsely contending that Bieber proposed to Baldwin with the same ring he once gave Gomez. Not one aspect of that tale was true, nor is the current claim that Baldwin's pregnant.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
