Is Gwyneth Paltrow "seeing green"? Reports claim the actress is in a "web of jealousy" over ex-husband Chris Martin's "flirtation" with Dakota Johnson. Gossip Cop, however, can exclusively shoot down the claims.
In early October, Martin and Johnson were seen having dinner together. Now Star and RadarOnline are both alleging Paltrow is upset the pair are spending time together. Without any evidence to back up this assertion, the webloid claims the "flames of passion" between Martin and Johnson "have only grown" since their dinner. But his former wife supposedly believes "no woman is good enough" for him.
"Chris was hoping this would finally be the girl who Gwyneth would approve of," a so-called "insider" is quoted as saying. "She hated Anna [Wallis] as well as Jennifer [Lawrence] and Alexa [Chung], saying they were all beneath Chris and refusing to socialize with them." For the record, Wallis is known as Annabelle, not "Anna." And, oddly, it's never said what, exactly, is Paltrow's specific problem with Johnson.
Instead, the site goes on to allege Martin is "furious" she "isn't a fan" of his "new love." Contends the source, "It's awkward, but to be fair he's not exactly rolled out the red carpet with Brad [Falchuk]," whom Paltrow has been dating for a while now. The online publication's tipster goes on to suggest the former spouses are too wrapped up in each other's lives, maintaining, "These two have a bizarre chemistry and a lot of their friends think they'd be better off dropping the whole 'conscious uncoupling' facade. It's ruining their chances of moving on."
Gossip Cop isn't sure what's been "ruined." Paltrow and Falchuk have been together for more than three years now. She's clearly moved on from Martin romantically, and Paltrow isn't shy about showing off her romance on Instagram, either. So why, then, would she be so wrapped up in who Martin dates? The Coldplay singer's love life has no bearing on her, except perhaps for how it does or doesn't affect their two children. But it's just never explained why she's supposedly fixated on Martin's relationships and "seeing green" over Johnson in particular. Maybe that's because she's not.
It's "complete B.S.," Paltrow's rep tells Gossip Cop exclusively. And it's certainly not the first time the online publication or its sister outlet have spread meritless allegations about the Oscar winner and then men in her life. Almost exactly a year ago, for example, RadarOnline falsely claimed Paltrow was dumping Falchuk to get back together with Martin. And back in April, Star ridiculously alleged Paltrow would only marry Falchuk if he agreed to an open marriage. All of these faux love triangle reports have been unsubstantiated, just like this latest one.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
