Gwen Stefani is not having twins, despite a new tabloid cover story falsely announcing a “fertility treatment shocker.” Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the report.
According to Wednesday’s new issue of In Touch, Stefani and Blake Shelton are “making their baby dreams come true.” And despite making it seem on the cover like she’s already pregnant, inside the magazine it’s claimed, “Gwen is trying to conceive a baby.” And the article purports to know all about the process.
“Gwen’s been told by fertility doctors that she needs to relax her strict diet and workout regimen as she hopes to become pregnant with Blake’s child,” a so-called “insider” is quoted as saying. It’s alleged Stefani has “already begun IVF treatments.” And though the edition’s cover clearly gives the impression that she’s having twins, the supposed source merely states, “Gwen has been told the odds of having twins increase with IVF, and she would be thrilled if that happens.”
But Gossip Cop has one question for In Touch: What happened to the baby? You know, the baby girl the tabloid said Stefani and Shelton were having back in January. And what about the plan to freeze her eggs and possibly use a surrogate, as the outlet said in March?
In Touch is just piling lies on top of lies with no regard for accuracy, or even consistency given its own prior “reporting.” But Gossip Cop has been both accurate and consistent. A rep for Stefani once again exclusively tells us that talk of her being pregnant is “untrue,” and that the tabloid “just makes stuff up.”
