A site known for making up stories, including articles about celebrities' sex lives, is claiming to know Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's "romantic Christmas plans" include "sexy time for themselves." Yes, this is a fabrication, too, Gossip Cop can confirm.
In its manufactured report, HollywoodLife wants readers to believe it has "all the EXCLUSIVE details" on the "super romantic plans" Stefani and Shelton have "lined up for the upcoming holidays." A so-called "source" asserts that while the No Doubt frontwoman will be sharing custody of her children with Gavin Rossdale for Christmas, "Blake's going to be by her side and she's planning to throw a big party at her place again this year." This supposed insider goes on to contend that "the one silver lining about having to share the kids this Christmas is that she and Blake will get a chance to have some extra time for themselves... Blake has promised to make their alone time together extra special, it's going to be a very romantic Christmas this year."
"Are you loving these juicy details as much as us?!" the site asks readers. The implication, of course, is that Stefani and Shelton will be finding time to get down and dirty, as if they (and every other couple) don't do that normally. The problem here is two-fold. First off, Stefani already revealed her Christmas plans, telling Ryan Seacrest in an interview just days ago, "I have the kids." She said nothing about sharing custody during the holiday. She also said nothing about throwing a party, and actually spoke about going to church and to her brother's.
Second, what "source" close to Stefani or Shelton would really talk with any outlet about their "sexy" plans for alone time at any point in the year? Gossip Cop has repeatedly proven, through the outlet's demonstrable lies and contradictions, that the online publication doesn't really have inside access to the couple's world. But even if the blog did, no one in their camps would ever speak about anything remotely related to their sex lives. We actually pointed this out almost exactly six months ago when HollywoodLies, as it's known, ran an "exclusive" about Stefani spending "thousands" on "sexy new lingerie" so she could "totally blow [Shelton's] mind for his birthday."
The webloid actually pretended to know that Stefani was "planning on pleasing him in every way possible — including in the bedroom." It was laughable, and also kind of gross. It was also completely made-up, just like this new story about the pair having "sexy time" during Christmas. It's become very obvious that the site doesn't actually care whether its reports are authentic or not. But as long as they're illegitimate, Gossip Cop is going to keep calling them out. We'll also continue to call out outlets that pick up HollywoodLies' concocted claims, including Celebrity Insider, which is in this case is declaring, "Blake Shelton Is Planning On A Very Sexy Christmas With Gwen Stefani." It's like dealing with dumb and dumber.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
