An article claiming Gwen Stefani is "scared to be alone" was made up by the same tabloid that has previously fabricated nonexistent pregnancies and weddings for the singer. Gossip Cop can bust this latest fabrication.
In the new issue of Life & Style, a headline announces, "Gwen's Story: Why She's Scared To Be Alone." But this is not "Gwen's story." It is a story that proclaims to know the star's feelings, based on an "insider" and "source." And the tabloid's "insiders" and "sources" have proven to be completely unreliable in the past. In fact, last month, Gossip Cop busted a cover story that falsely claimed Stefani and Blake Shelton were married. That piece was predominantly based on an "insider," who was either misinformed, lying or invented by the outlet itself.
And it's cover stories like that that make it completely impossible to trust the publication's new story, which makes no mention of the supposed recent wedding, and instead maintains Stefani's "cheery facade masks a deep insecurity." The purported insider contends, "She feels much more confident with a man on her arm. The thought of being single and alone fills Gwen with fear." As evidence, the tabloid points to the No Doubt frontwoman's long-term relationships with Tony Kanal, Gavin Rossdale and Blake Shelton, with the bulk of the article recapping those romances.
The so-called "source," for instance, makes the well-known assertion that Kanal was a best friend and a boyfriend "all in one." Of course, Stefani herself has said that many times over the years. The magazine also quotes a psychologist, who passes judgment on Stefani's relationship history despite never once speaking with the performer personally. So, this article consists of claims from an untrustworthy "insider," obvious statements from a "source," and assumptions from a psychologist.
Gossip Cop is told that no one close to Stefani is talking to the tabloids about her personal life, and this article was simply made up. And the proof of that is in the fact that Life & Style has published multiple false cover stories about weddings and pregnancies. If it really had "sources" and "insiders" in the singer's inner circle, it would not publish so many false stories about her. Whether Stefani is "scared to be alone" or not, no one legitimately connected to her is talking about that with this magazine.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
