Gwen Stefani is NOT “writing revenge songs” about Miranda Lambert, despite a report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story, which comes from one of the tabloids.

It says in this week’s Life & Style, “Eight months after Gwen Stefani’s album This Is What The Truth Feels Like flopped, Miranda Lambert’s new double album, The Weight Of These Wings, is a success with both critics and fans — and that isn’t sitting well with jealous Gwen.” A so-called “pal” is quoted as saying, “She’s going to unleash some very personal songs about Miranda.”

And, according to the magazine, “Gwen’s ill will goes beyond business.” While she “doesn’t worry that beau Blake Shelton still loves his ex,” the supposed source claims, “She has a deep insecurity and feels she’s competing with Miranda anyway… [Lambert] is beloved by the country-music world. Gwen’s jealous about that.”

The alleged tipster goes on to assert that Stefani has “written songs calling Miranda out for giving Blake up so easily. Gwen’s ready for a showdown.” If that sounds familiar, it’s because Life & Style sister publication In Touch also has a story this week about Stefani supposedly wanting to confront Lambert and have a “showdown.” In fact, some of these quotes are word-for-word the same.

But both publications are wrong. There’s not going to be a “showdown,” and Stefani isn’t “writing revenge songs.” A rep for the No Doubt front woman exclusively tells Gossip Cop that all the allegations are “untrue.” By the way, Life & Style is the same outlet that falsely claimed back in January that Stefani was making a “revenge album” about Lambert. Nearly a year later, the tabloid is still spreading lies.
