Gwen Stefani propose Blake Shelton

(Life And Style)

Gwen Stefani did not propose to Blake Shelton, despite a wholly fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “untrue.”

According to Life & Style, days before Shelton hosted the Kids Choice Awards, attended by Stefani’s sons Zuma and Apollo, the No Doubt singer “surprised her boyfriend with a lavish private dinner and a marriage proposal.” The tabloid’s seemingly ill-informed or possibly fabricated “source” claims that after the two finished eating a barbecue dinner, “The pop star asked her beau of less than a year to marry her.” “He was in shock,” but still managed to say, “Yes,” alleges the magazine’s misguided “source.”

While the tabloid doesn’t exactly know when the proposal allegedly happened, its questionable “source” tells the outlet that Shelton is “so glad she surprised him. That’s what she loves about him.” A good remainder of the magazine’s off-base cover story is filled with how Stefani is still in the process of divorcing Gavin Rossdale. “She wants her divorce to be over before they’re open about being engaged,” says the so-called “source,” explaining why the nonexistent engagement hasn’t been publicly announced.

Mind you, this is the same publication Gossip Cop called out when it published a false cover story in November that claimed Shelton and Stefani were “over already.” Clearly, the tabloid’s sources are not that reliable. In any event, Gossip Cop is exclusively told by Stefani’s rep that talk about her having proposed to Shelton is “untrue.”
